Hey guys,

Since there are enough 50's in the guild I think we should do our first guild raid this weekend. We can do an 8-man Eternity Vault operation on normal mode.

Gear is important but for our first run I think we should be ok, we have a couple of people who are over-geared for normal mode so hopefully it evens out for people that might be a bit under-geared. Don't expect it to be a cake walk or to complete it in 1 sitting, I think I'm the only one who has completed the raid before so many of you will need to get familiar with the mechanics and stuff. It's mainly to get some experience, see where we stand and get some more guild action going :).

I'm proposing Saturday at 7pm UK time. This way if we fail on the last boss (which is likely) we can try again on Sunday at the same time (progress will not reset until Tuesday).

A couple of things to keep note of, set aside at least 3 hours and have plenty of cash on hand for repairs (at least 100k). Also try to get the best gear and buffs (the prototype ones that last for 2 hours and do not reset on death) you can in the coming days, every little bit will help.

If you want to join sign up here and mention the role you are playing :)

Main Tank - Atlas
Off tank - K'ai
Tank Healer - Redlum
Party Healer - Chisel
DPS - Mentalla
DPS - Wongfeihung
DPS - Zumbee
DPS - Morgotine

I dunno, my schedule is pretty tight, man... I could be doing so much more - Like sitting alone in a pub wishing I had friends, or crying and wanking in a corner.

I'll sign up K'ai. He can try out the offtanking.

Edit: Managed to get the last relic tonight from the PvP vendor. Looking at the stats on the Champion Gear it's actually lower on the main stats for PvE (End, Str, Def) so it got me thinking that the PvP gear might not be the best bet if you're going to be PvE'ing. At least it doesn't look that way for Guardian Tank.

Edit Edit: The Saber seems to be the only thing work upgrading to, unless I want to buy the pieces to butcher some of the mods for my current suit.

That's right, PvP gear has expertise rating which only works in PvP, PvE gear replaces that expertise rating with more main stats.

So ideally you want to have a full PvP and PvE set and switch for the occasion but that's a luxury most won't have so having said that, champion PvP gear will work fine for a normal mode raid (but if you have PvE pieces with the same rating then use them).

No worries, you do have an aoe heal right? Or none at all? The last fight is aoe healing intensive but I don't think we even have an active 50 sage healer.

If you spec for it, Vanguard DPS is pretty good. You can't go hybrid here, you need to go full DPS then.

i'll have a look when i get back tonight. so much of my gear has shield rating and absorption chance that it may be too costly to fully re-kit myself out for dps.

I have the Bacta Bomb thing, but it's the weaker of my heals and only hits max 3 (random) targets, so isn't terribly useful if it's going to be a lot of incoming AoE damage. I can switch targets and spam powerful single target heals like a boss though!

Gear-wise I've only got purple PvP boots and purple PvE implants/ear, the rest is blue PvE, although I'm REing like mad trying to get purple armor pieces ready. One purple relic as well, I shall grind like mad to try and get as much purple stuff of some form or another by that evening.

I can't promise but I'll do what I can do join in. I guess 7pm where you are, it would be 8pm where I am. And that's when I get from my job on Saturady. And I'm picking up pizza for me and my wife(and daughter if she ain't sleeping). I'm trying to not playing any games so long she is waken. Don't want her to remember her father in her young years being an arse ignoring her due to a mmorpg :D

BTW im DPS, doing it commando-style! Wanna test my crits fully now, got around 33% without buffs.
